Design4Innovation project meeting with stakeholders
Within the additional activities of Design4Innovation project, a meeting with the stakeholders was held online, on Wednesday 20 July 2022.
On the occasion of the completion of the Design4Innovation project, representatives of the creativity ecosystem met for the last time to go through the project’s achievements and to share existing trends and ideas for synergies and new projects.
Initially, the members of the KEPA team presented the main results of the Design4Innovation project, placing emphasis on the influence of policy instruments for the promotion of Design, but also on the perspectives that open up for its utilization in relation to the new priorities at regional, national and European level.
Afterwards, the participants referred to the recently completed and currently implemented projects of their agencies (Hellenic Design Centre, Creativity Platform, Business Plan MATH, Innovative Design Cluster, AgroDesign project), as well as the developments and initiatives related to the regional ecosystem (e.g. ALLIANCE for Culture, One Stop Liaison Office, etc.).
In the dialogue that followed, there was talk of the new trends and needs that are taking shape for the further development of Design, such as intersectorality (both in terms of its mapping as well as its documentation for new projects and calls during the new programming period, differentiating the cultural from the creative industries), the existence of a new support structure for the creative industry at regional level (with a clear sustainable and green agenda, provision for training the creators and consulting up to the final stage of production) and the creation of a digital observatory for open data.
