The 4th Local Stakeholder Group (LSG) meeting, held within the framework of the Picobello Project – PIloting COllaborative ways to BEtter Living Locally, was successfully completed. The meeting was co-organised by the Region of Central Macedonia and KEPA on Tuesday, 31 March 2026, at the premises of the Hellenic Design Centre in Thessaloniki.
The focus of the 4th LSG meeting was the integration of the New European Bauhaus principles into local initiatives in Thessaloniki. The meeting provided yet another valuable opportunity for dialogue and exchange of experiences between local authorities and stakeholders engaged in the planning and implementation of sustainable urban initiatives.
Participants had the opportunity to:
▪ become familiar with the core principles and tools of the New European Bauhaus (NEB Compass, NEB Flower, etc.)
▪ explore best practices presented during the 4th Transnational Meeting in Poland (February 2026)
▪ showcase actions and initiatives of the organisations they represent
▪ assess projects they have implemented through the lens of NEB values (Beautiful – Sustainable – Together) through an interactive and highly creative workshop
The active participation of stakeholders confirmed the importance of collaboration and participatory design in strengthening sustainable and inclusive urban interventions.
The next steps include the identification of common indicators that will support:
– the better integration of these principles into local initiatives in Thessaloniki, and
– the further strengthening of synergies within the framework of the PICOBELLO project.
