KEPA hosted the 2nd meeting of Design4Innovation project during the period from 31/05 to 01/06/2017 in Thessaloniki. During this time, the Design4Innovation partners reviewed the progress of the project’s activities, examined their Operational Programmes (OPs) and visited three innovation hubs in order to find out about the best practice in business and the innovation support in Greece.
The meeting, apart from the project progress, aimed to examine the level of integrating Design in formulating as well as in operationally implementing entrepreneurship programmes in the partners’ countries for the business sector. For this reason, apart from project partners’ representatives, policy makers also participated in the meeting.
The first day was dedicated to the workshop ‘Exploring Operational Programmes’, including Lightning presentations of Operational Programmes by Managing Authorities followed by a series of exercises on Exploring opportunities for design in the Operational Programmes.
During the second day, study visits were organized to organisations of the local ecosystem (CERTH, i4G and OK!Thess), so that the participants become aware of the services provided to businesses and to widen the possibility to use Design methodology for the benefit of the local community and businesses.
