A very interesting conversation took place at the Local Focus Group held by KEPA, on Tuesday 26 September 2023, in the context of the implementation of the project “CO-DEsign for Sustainability” with the acronym CODES, which is co-financed by the “Creative Europe” program of the European Union .
The Local Focus Group focused on the needs and challenges faced by professionals from the Fashion & Design sector in Greece, which were reflected in the results of the research conducted by KEPA at a previous stage. Through the discussion and feedback of innovative ideas, proposals emerged to create a methodological approach to the creative fashion industry, which will provide added value and new networking opportunities to all industry professionals, not only locally but also at a transnational level.
Fashion designers, creators of jewelry from recyclable materials, fabric manufacturers, representatives of chambers and schools of design & fashion, as well as students, contributed substantially to highlighting the critical points of the discussion in question. Together with the members of the European Projects Department of KEPA, they co-designed the following steps for their participation in an international cooperation program, the development of the CODES collaborative tool, the projection of good practices from Greece, as well as the reinforcement of international synergies.
The next steps include the Transnational Focus Group scheduled to be held next month with participants from the countries of the three CODES project partners, Enter, Romagna Tech, and KEPA. The aim of this TFG is to activate creative ecosystems and develop new products that derive from a transnational cooperation.
