Final Event of RegionArts project in Porto
The RegionArts Final Event “Unleashing innovation by catalyzing interactions among Artists, Science and Technology – European and Regional experiences” took place on Wednesday, the 9th of November 2022, at Casa da Música in Porto, Portugal.
The event was moderated by Chiara Frencia and organized by Porto Design Factory; SERN & INOVA, counting on the presence and participation of Vincenzo Capocasale, the Joint Secretariat of the Interreg Europe Programme, the funding Programme of the project.
Professor António Marques from Politécnico do Porto opened the session as the project coordinator and introduced the participants to the RegionArts project. Eng. Filipe Araújo, the Vice-President of the Porto City Council, followed and gave a warm welcome to the city of Porto to everyone that joined the event in person.
Nil Samar was another panelist that captivated the audience with his presentation on Art thinking: Creating the improbable. After a small break with a not so “small” view an interesting round table focusing on the Regional case studies and lessons learned from RegionArts took place. This round table was moderated by Dora Fazekas from INOVA + and counted with the participation of the RegionArts project partners:

- Tomi Knuutila & Heli Laitinen represent Lapland University.
At this stage, the CyberMusic room had achieved almost the full capacity predicted with 50 participants and, the live stream had around 50 viewers. After a break, the event continued with an activity facilitated by Chiara Frencia, where participants had to compete in a game of questions related to the topics discussed. After this lively activity, the event proceeded with the contribution of Céu Filipe from AEP that raised the topic of Developing the Regional entrepreneurial ecosystem for Creative Industries.
Later the final round table of the day took place and counted with the moderation of Sara Brandão and the participation of the RegionArts partners:

At the end, the participants attended to the closing remarks from Diogo Gomes Araújo of the Portuguese Innovation Agency (ANI).
