
The 2nd local stakeholders’ group meeting from the Cultural and Creative Sector and Industries (CCSI), co-organized by the Region of Central Macedonia (RCM), the RCM’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Support Mechanism (One Stop Liaison Office), and the Business & Cultural Development Centre (KEPA), was successfully completed with undiminished interest from the participants on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at the premises of the Hellenic Design Centre.
This working group meeting on the topic of “Opportunities and Challenges in the Cultural and Creative Sector” aimed to bring together cultural institutions and professionals from the Creative Industries, in order to evaluate the new data on trends and developments in the CCIs, to discuss the challenges that CCSI professionals need to face or overcome potential adversities, and to capture the needs for the required support mechanisms towards the triple transition (green, digital, social).
A total of 28 people representing 15 different organizations participated in the meeting. After the introductory part with the presentation of the projects “CCSI4CCSI” – Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries for Collaboration, Competitiveness, Sustainability and Innovation and “OSLO” – Innovation and Entrepreneurship Support Mechanism, the participants had the opportunity to present in an interactive way the company/organization they represent in terms of their core activity and their contribution to the creative ecosystem.
The results of the recent secondary market research were then presented, followed by a discussion on the needs’ assessment of the Cultural and Creative Sectors & Industries of the local ecosystem, while also validating the new data. The meeting ended with an experiential workshop focusing on foresight scenarios regarding the future of CCIs in Greece towards 2040.
At the closing part of the meeting, reference was made to the next actions foreseen in the context of the project. The participants agreed to keep communication channels open with each other and renewed their appointment for the next semester.
