Presentation of the results and the final deliverable Feasibility Study of the project DCS-iSMEs
The project “DCS-iSMEs” was implemented by KEPA under the INNOSUP-06 Call for Projects of the programme HORIZON2020. The main aim of the project was the assessment of feasibility and efficacity of a new service (Design Customised Mentoring) through the experimental process of Randomised Controlled Trial.
During the project implementation KEPA presented the suggested service; Design Customised Mentoring, which concerns the treatment of a selected challenge faced by the SME with the support of an expert Designer through the direct application of Design Thinking methodology and tools. Following an open call, 10 SMEs were selected, which were afterwards randomly allocated in two different groups; the Control Group and the Treatment Group. The Control Group received a manual on Design Thinking and the respective tools, while the Treatment Group received a full support service that included meeting of 2.5 days of duration with an expert Designer aiming at identifying innovative solutions against at least one of the important problems of the respective SME.
The results of this experimentative process are presented in the Feasibility Study of the aforementioned service.
The Feasibility Study and the project in general will be further promoted to the interested actors through KEPA’s publicity actions.
