The closing event of the Respone/Ability (R/A) project, hosted by KEPA on Thursday 12 October 2023 at the Hellenic Design Centre premises, was successfully completed.
Representatives of the project partners, CoDesign Toscana, Open Impact and the Business and Cultural Development Centre (KEPA), analyzed the ways in which the Design Thinking methodology helped to create a structured process for the planning and implementation of future Pop-Ups Schools. In addition, emphasis was placed on how experienced trainers were trained in this process and finally, how the participating NEETs of the school, developed their skills through co-design activities and created solutions to urban challenges of Thessaloniki (Greece) & Prato (Italy).
The participants, both digitally and in person, were committed to the presentation of the results of the project and the actions carried out in Greece and Italy. The outcome of the project was a point of reference for further interaction and discussion between the partners and the participants, regarding issues such as the impact on the beneficiaries of the project and the future steps for the immediately implementable proposals to improve urban challenges highlighted by the Pop-Up Schools of each country.
The Keynote Speaker, Ms. Maria Sitzoglou, Architect and Co-Founder of Design Clips, contributed to this event by sharing best practices and her expertise in sustainable urban design with the audience.
