
The Quadruple Helix Model Work Café, organized by the Business and Cultural Development Centre (KEPA) at the premises of the Hellenic Design Centre, was successfully concluded on Wednesday 4 June 2025, in the framework of the GREENSMES project.
The event, entitled “Bridges of Cooperation for the Green Economy”, aimed to bring together representatives from academia, the business community, public administration and civil society – the four main pillars of the Quadruple Helix – to jointly explore the potential of the GREENSMES project to promote green innovation in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
A total of 22 participants from 14 different organizations attended the meeting.
The event began with the usual introductions and the presentation of the GREENSMES project by KEPA staff, followed by a speech by Ms. Apostolina Tsaltampasi, E.U. Female Entrepreneurship Ambassador and President of SEGE and WEnCoop, on the topic: “Green innovative companies that have transformed the economy and their impact”.
Ms. Jenny Elemé, Research & Innovation Project Expert at “OECON”, presented the findings from the secondary analysis in the field of green innovation, and title: “Understanding Trends in Green Innovation: Conclusions of Secondary Analysis”.
Participants presented in an interactive way the organizations they represent, emphasizing their actions on sustainable development and the circular economy. This was followed by a creative dialogue with the main focus on integrating green innovation in SMEs and broadening the application of good practices to promote sustainable solutions to a wider range of businesses.
At the end of the meeting, key conclusions were summarized and a common commitment to continued cooperation was expressed. The participants agreed to keep communication channels open for future cooperation.
