INNOCOACH

INNOCOACH project is co-financed by HORIZON 2020 programme. The overall objective of INNOCOACH is the exchange of knowledge on Europe EIC Program Coaching for SMEs through peer learning activities promoting the SMEs participation and support. The project has started in February 2021 and has a duration of 12 months.

SMEs are the backbone of the European economy. Realizing their significant role, the EU provides many instruments for SMEs to include them into market and encourage them to produce more. Within this scope, Innovation agencies are significant players to foster SMEs to benefit from EU’s funding instruments and provide them important services to promote their competitiveness in the market. However, SMEs are not satisfied with this support, realizing that it doesn’t match with their needs.

INNOCOACH aims to upgrade different skills and competence of Innovation agencies and create a structured and comprehensive methodology to prepare SMEs for European Innovation Council (EIC) Pilot. Rather than basic proposal preparation, INNOCOACH will coach SMES on market research, business plan and innovation management, so that they understand the nature of EIC and the best way to prepare their proposal for EIC Pilot in a holistic approach.

INNOCOACH will revise existing coaching system and develop new approach to provide better coaching to SMEs. Better service offered to SMEs, will result to more satisfied SMEs. When SMEs are satisfied by the service, they will be more willing to apply for more EU funds and this will let them be more competitive for Horizon Europe.

The overall objective of INNOCOACH is the exchange of knowledge (Twinning methodology) on Europe EIC Program Coaching for SMEs through Peer Learning activities promoting the SMEs participation and support. To serve this goal, INNOCOACH will work:

To develop expertise on EIC Proposal writing steps among Innovation agencies through analysing EIC components and identifying supporting services for SMEs
To engage with innovation agencies such as EENs intermediary organizations, chamber of commerce’s, business support organizations to create a synergy on EIC coaching via online platform

Through Peer Learning Activities, partners will share problems, exchange views and understand different viewpoints on the issue addressed to bring benefits to all parties involved.
